About me
I've been passionate about design since childhood. I studied various forms of art, from painting and pastels to architecture and interior design. After a successful career in marketing, I went back to school to learn graphic design. My passion for design was so strong that I did design as a volunteer when I did not have the knowledge or the tools. I taught myself the tools so I could study the elements of design, without distraction.
I've since added training in web design, which I am also very passionate about. As a marketer I understand and welcome every new method of reaching people with a message. I'm driven towards the internet as a marketer, as a consumer, and as a designer.
I worked as a marketer in publishing for more than 20 years--Runners World, Fit, Strength Training, Women's Sports and Fitness, InfoWorld, Publish, and Sunset are the publications I've helped to grow with subscriber and audience marketing.
I've worked as a graphic designer for several non-profits and in my positions in publishing for more than 10 years.
My graphic design training started at UC Santa Cruz Extension back in the day, but I have updated and extended those skills in the last three years, thanks to Academy of Art University, San Francisco.
